Mental Health Awareness First Aid 1 Day Course
This 1 day training course is designed to teach people to know the signs and symptoms of mental illness and to provide help in a first aid capacity.
Role of a Mental Health First Aider:
The MHFA in the workplace is a point of contact for an employee who is experiencing a mental health issue. The MHFA interaction with the individual may start with an initial conversation and continue through to supporting the individual accessing the appropriate help or service they need.
Tutor
The trainer who delivers this very practical programme is a qualified First Aid Instructor, Mental Health First Aid Instructor and Patient Handling Instructor. She holds qualifications in Social Care and Healthcare and prior to becoming a full time trainer spent 28 years as a Social Care Worker, specialising in working with adults with varying degrees of mental health difficulties

Participants can also be trained on an individual basis as we regularly run public courses in our Training Centre in Cork.
