Anderlift Safety Services was formed in 2002. The company is a private limited company which has been trading successfully in Cork for nearly 20 years. Anderlift Safety Services is a nationwide provider of Health and Safety Training and Consultancy to both Industry and the Public Service.
We are FET Legacy providers and provide training that is recognised on the National Framework of Awards, leading to QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland) awards. We currently provide:
- Manual Handling Instructor (6S0242 – QQI Level 6 award)
- Safety and Health at Work (5N1794 – QQI Level 5 award)
- Safety Representative Course (5N1451 – QQI Level 5 award)
- Training Delivery and Evaluation (6N3326 – QQI Level 6)

Our Key Personnel
Our General Manager, Patricia O’Leary has been involved in Health and Safety Training for over 20 years and in that time has been the liaison person with retainer contracts for a wide range of clients. Patricia would be the main point of all contact for all course information and bookings.
Our Training Manager, Oliver Carroll having served 20 years in the Naval Service (much of it in a training role) has spent over 12 years providing training and consultancy services to clients nationwide. Oliver has particular expertise in management and supervisory training as well as in the development of trainer skills and mentoring of new trainers.
Our Senior Trainers: Gerard Barry, Alec McCarthy, Robert Reid and Pat O'Brien are highly experienced and qualified to deliver training in areas such as First Aid Response, CPR / Defribrillator, Manual Handling, Patient Handling, Confined Space, Height and Harness Safety, Chemical, Abrasive Wheels, Climbing, Harness Inspection, MEWP, Fire and Forklift training.
Anderlift also employ a number of contract trainers who are specialists in their individual fields.
Since commencing business as a training and consultancy provider, Anderlift have developed an impressive database of clients, including Pepsi, ABP, Revenue Commissioners, Procter and Gamble, Pfizer, Eli Lily, Dairygold, Bulmers, Stryker, Beckman Coulter, Musgraves Super-Valu/Centra, Valeo, Teagasc, ETB's and many others. Much of our work now comes from repeat business with our established clients, as well as from referrals from satisfied companies who have recommended our services.
We help client companies to develop effective health and safety Management Systems, by reviewing and updating their policies and procedures. We also prove tailored management, supervisory and operator training programmes for these companies, as required.
Accreditation and Awards
We are a recognised institution with PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council).
We are on the FAS National Register of Trainers.
Our Instructors and Consultants are members of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Our Training Manager, Oliver Carroll, is a Chartered Member.
Our trainers are members of the Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD).
Our Forklift Instructors are RTITB Accredited and our First Aid Instructors are registered with PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council).
We are accredited as a training site by the Irish Heart Foundation. The Irish Heart Foundation is a recognised national body with a primary function of health promotion, in particular promotion of good cardiac health. In addition, the Irish Heart Foundation approves training in the area of Defibrillator and Cardiac First Responder Training.
We are the recipients of several IITD National Training Awards. We are very proud of these awards, which ranged from a commendation, Outstanding Achievement Award and overall winner of the SME business category at the awards and are reflective of our commitment and innovation in training in the health and safety sector.
Our Training Manager, Oliver Carroll was the recipient of a Pierce Walsh Training Award at the IITD Awards for his innovation in the field of developing health and safety training programmes.
