Mental Health Awareness refers to recognising the significance of maintaining good mental health and wellbeing.

It involves promoting knowledge of the Signs and Symptoms of mental health problems, and disorders, as well as the benefits of seeking help and treatment when needed.

Aim of the Programme:

This programme is designed to assist Managers and Supervisors to recognise common mental health symptoms of an individual who may be in crisis.

It will also provide information on how to  provide assistance and support in a practical and positive way.

  • What is Mental Health?
  • What is ill- Mental Health?
  • Understand the importance of a positive mental health culture in the workplace
  • Why people develop mental health conditions (common stressor).
  • Common mental health conditions.
  • How can stigma around mental health be reduced.
  • Looking after your mental health at work.
  • Know how to recognise- Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Panic attacks, Obsessive Compulsive disorder
  • Self-Care.
  • Understand what appropriate services are available.

 

Tutor

The trainer delivering this programme holds qualifications in Social Care and Healthcare as well as many other related disciplines. Prior to becoming a full time trainer with Anderlift, our trainer spent 28 years as a Social Care Worker, specialising in working with adults with varying degrees of intellectual and mental health difficulties. As a result of this experience, our trainer will bring a very practical aspect to this training course as a result of their experience in working in both the public and private sectors.
